Last night after donning their PJ's the girls were playing church.

Coming Home

I went to Lyndi's for the weekend. I left Friday at 12:30 and got back Sunday around 5:00 pm.
I had a great time. It was relaxing. No dishes to wash, no laundry to do, no baths to give, and no meals to fix.
It was great coming home and finding out my kids really missed me. They had made 4 banners for me, as well as red ribbon strung on the ceilings and walls. Of course, it goes without saying that my husband missed me too.

Cousins!

On our trip to South Carolina we stopped by Tim's sisters place. The cousins had a great time playing together.

Valentine's Banquet

Thanks to my sister, my husband and I were able to go to a "Because Marriage Matters...Valentines' Banquet." We had a great time. Lots of time to talk and hold hands since we had an hour drive to and from the banquet. Dr. Bob Bolois was the speaker. He talked about Redefining Love through
I. Chemistry
II. Compatability
III. Commitment
It was very good. Some questions that were asked were as follows:
1. What are you doing to help promote the chemistry in your marriage?
2. How can you say "I love you" in your husband or wife's love language?
3. Have you planned an outing lately that you both enjoy?
4. Are you committed to making the most of your marriage?

The evening was sprinkled with games, fun and laughter.

A couple of the many humorous "insights" were:
-A husband commented, "I haven't talked to my wife in two years. I hate to interrupt her."
-When a husband opens the car door for his wife he either has a new car or a new wife.

I have a great guy that makes our marriage wonderful!

Angels in the Snow

Daily life provides us with the chance to make something of beauty--a design or a pattern, such as an angel in the snow. Each day stretches before us like a blanket of freshly fallen snow. It is our choice whether we mindlessly run through the expanse of unbroken snow, marring it beyond repair, or not. The better choice by far would be, that when that day of freshly fallen snow is stretched before us, we design an angel in the snow. A thing of beauty for all to see.

As Christians our lives are to be a pattern of beauty for others. The everyday choices have a greater value than most of us realize. 1 Timothy 4:12 shows us that God wants our lives to be an example, a pattern for others to look to.

"in word"--what we say

"in conversation"--how we act

"in charity"---how we show love to others

"in spirit"--our attitudes

"in faith"--having faith in God and His Word"

"in purity"--a heart that is pure in motive

Each one of the above situations are all affected by choice. Each day we need to design an "angel in the snow" by choosing the right actions, words, and attitudes; by showing love to others, having faith in God and His Word and living with a pure heart before God.

May each of our days be filled with "angels in the snow" for God. Our choices have the ability to mar the day stretched before us or bring designs of beauty into our life.

My workout for the day!

The girls went sled riding for a little bit. I got to pull them up the hill. Moriah looked at this picture and said, "You're a sweet girl for pulling us up the hill."

We're finally over the Stomach Flu!

I'm thanking the Lord that the girls have finally been able to

kick this stomach flu. They have been sick since Sunday night!

They are finally acting like themselves and are playing together

instead of wanting "mommy hold", running to the bathroom or

vomiting. Thanks Lord, for touching them!

Evening of Skiing

Last night our family went skiing. We were able to find a babysitter for the girls. We had a great time despite the chilly 8 degrees. I think I can now officially say that I know how to ski. Caleb was shocked speechless when he found out that I made it down one of the more "difficult"slopes. Caleb skis with no fear. I have a hard time not worrying when he tells me how he races down these slopes, ramps and zig zags through the trees. Joshua is a more cautious skier but does a wonderful job. David has really taken off this year and is now keeping up with the older boys. My husband, of course is a great skier. Since he learned to ski in Colorado, at times these slopes here in the East do not give him the challenge he would like.
