I'm excited about my new theme for Children's Church. My theme is "God's Winter Wonderland."Week 1 -Whiter then Snow
Every snowflake is formed around a tiny piece of dirt. God makes our heart more beautiful then a snowflake because there will not even be a speck of dirt or sin when he is done.
Week 2 - Building a Snowman with God
Each snowman is different from the other. Each one is unique and special. We, as God's children are unique and special to Him. Just as it takes work and patience to build a snowman, it takes work and patience as we live for Jesus each day. With His help we can remove the twigs, leaves and stones from the snowman of our lives to make us more like His image.
Week 3- Angels in the Snow
Each day is like a yard of freshly fallen snow without a mark to mar. The beauty of new fallen snow is beyond compare. We can make beautiful designs such as angels in this carpet of white or we can run through the sparkling field of white without thought marring until nothing can bring back its beauty. In each day we need to determine to make a design of beauty, such as angels in the snow. With God's help we do not need to mar up our day with thoughtless actions and unkind words. He wants our day to be a thing of beauty when day is done as we follow the pattern He has for our day.
Week 4 - Ski Slopes of Life
When skiing you need Salvation
Nearness to God and His Word
Obedience
Watchfulness
Snow is a necessity for skiing. When skiing down the slopes of life we need Salvation, nearness to God, Obedience and Watchfulness.
There will be many different kinds of slopes in this life. They will test your skill. We can learn on the bunny slopes of life that God is trustworthy. When we have learned that lesson and face a steeper slope we know we can make it over the jumps of dismay and moguls of discouragment with God's help. Keeping our eyes focused on Jesus as we ski down those black diamond slopes will keep us from wiping out.
